ICCTF Discussion : Indonesia’s commitment to achieve 26% reduction of green house gas emission

ICCTF has been holding monthly discussions since July 2013. The first discussion was held on July 25, 2013 with topic on the provincial spatial plan from mitigation perspective. The discussion aimed at reviewing the current issues related to provincial spatial plan in the light of Indonesia’s commitment to achieve 26% reduction of green house gas emission unilaterally and 41% with international assistance by 2020. As 75% of emission from forestry sector is contributed from deforestation and land conversion so it is important to review current situation of the provincial spatial plan according to the reduction emission plan at the national level. Held at Luwansa Hotel, the discussion is attended by ICCTF stakeholders from line ministries, academics, CSOs and the media with Yetti Rusli, the Senior Adviser to the Minister of Forestry on Environment & Climate Change as the main speaker.
